How To Apply Bihar Post Matric Scholarship 2023

• 1 : At present Post Matric Scholarship portal 2022-23 is only open for SC and ST students resident of Bihar State. Student belonging to other cetegory may please wait till further guidlines.
• 2 : This portal is currently open only for Academic year 2022-23.
• 3 : Students eligible as per advertisement of Post Matric Scholarship of Education Department, Govt. of Bihar need to apply.
• 4: A student will get scholarship only once for each academic year.
• 5 : A student only need to apply only once for one academic year otherwise his/her application will be rejected.
• 6 : Before apply check the name of your institution in registered list of institutions [View Institution List]
• 7 : Institution need to register first on the portal before you can apply. The institution will be provisionally approved for enabling the student to apply. Only after physical verification by a duly constituted committee of Govt. of Bihar payment will be released.
• 8 : Ensure that student bank account is active and is in the name of student only.
• 9 : Student applications for Post Matric Scholarship will be verified both by institution authorities and duly constituted committee of Govt. of Bihar.
• 10 : Students can register to the portal by providing details such as Name, Aadhaar Number, Date of Birth, Mobile Number and email etc.
• 11 : USERID and Password after successful registration will be sent to registered mobile number.
• 12 : Do not share USERID and PASSWORD with any other person.
• 13 : After obtaining USERID and PASSWORD login to the portal and complete the form and finally submit the form.
• 14. Following documents valid for 2022-23 are mandatory for applying for Post Matric Scholarship application :
• a.) Aadhaar Card
• b.) Residential Certificate of Bihar
• c.) Caste Certificate issued by competent authority of Govt. of Bihar
• d.) Income Certificate [ 2022-23 ]
• e.) Disability Certificate [ If Applicable ]
• Note: Student shall only be able to Apply for the Postmatric Scholarship after verification of all the above mentioned ( a to e) documents and their Bank Account.Students are advised to wait for this process to get completed.
• f.) Fee Receipt from Institution [View ]
• g.) Bonafide Certificate (As Applicable)[ View ]
• h.) Last Exam Passing Certificate [ In case of First Year Last degree certificate and in case of consecutive years(2nd, 3rd, 4th years etc. Last Degree Passing certificate and Course exam passing Marksheet]
• 15. After completion of the form finally submit the application form on portal and print a copy of the application form for future reference. No Change is permissible after final submission of the form.
• 16. The student application will be duly verified by the concerned institution and it also be physically verified from institution records by a duly constituted committee of Govt. of Bihar. Only after due process laid down by Govt. of Bihar Post Matric Scholarship will be released to the Bank Account of Student through DBT [PFMS]

Bihar Post Matric Scholarship Important Details

• आवेदक को बिहार राज्य के स्थायी निवासी होना चाहिए। (Applicant must be a permanent resident of Bihar state.)
• आवेदक की जाति राज्य सरकार द्वारा निर्गत पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग तथा अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति की सूची में सम्मिलित हो। (The applicant’s caste should be included in the list of Backward Classes and Extremely Backward Classes and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes issued by the State Government.)
• प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति हेतु संबंधित विभाग द्वारा निर्धारित पात्रता के अनुसार आवेदक सहित माता-पिता / अभिभावक का अधिकतम कुल वार्षिक आय वित्तीय वर्ष 2022-23 के लिए रु० 3.00 लाख तक होना चाहिए। तथा अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति आवेदक के माता – पिता/ अभिभावक के वित्तीय 2022-23 से आय की अधिसीमा 03.00 लाख तक की गयी है। भविष्य में माता पिता/ अभिभावकों के अधिकतम लाभ के संबंध में संबंधित विभाग द्वारा निर्गत आदेश लागू माना जाएगा ।
• प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति योजना के अन्तर्गत मैट्रिक / प्रवेशिका परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद उच्चतर कक्षाओं में अध्ययनरत् छात्र / छात्रा ही छात्रवृत्ति के लिए आवेदन कर सकते है।
• एक स्तर का कोर्स उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद दूसरे समकक्ष कोर्स में अध्ययन करने पर छात्रवृत्ति के हकदार नहीं होंगे, यथा- I.Sc. की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद I.A., B.A. की परीक्षा उत्तीर्ण करने के बाद B.Com. एवं M.Sc. करने के बाद M.A कक्षा में अध्ययन करने पर छात्रवृत्ति नहीं दी जायेगी।
• पिछड़ा वर्ग एवं अति पिछड़ा वर्ग में आवेदक के माता-पिता के मात्र 02 (दो) पुत्रों को ही प्रवेशिकोत्तर छात्रवृत्ति प्रदान की जायेगी। यह नियम पुत्रियों पर लागू नहीं होगा, किन्तु अनुसूचित जाति एवं अनुसूचित जनजाति में यह नियम लागू नहीं होगा ।

Is Bank Account is mandatory for applying for the scholarship?
Yes, Bank Account in name of Student is mandatory. The bank account should be active to enable the payment through DBT.In case of Joint Bank Account holder then the Name of Student should be first beneficiary of Bank Account.

How many times an institution can register on the Portal?
An institution can register only once on the portal. However institution can upload any number of courses as applicable to the students.

How many times a student can register on the Portal?
A student can register only once on the portal for an academic year. The student can further renew without entering more details for next academic year onwards.

What happens if illegal practices are followed by institution or Student?
In case institution or student is found providing illegal or misleading information or Tampered Documents or False/Unauthorized Documents then the application form will be rejected and legal action will be initiated against concerned persons/parties as per law.

Reasons for Rejection of Applications on the Portal?

• Not Resident of Bihar
• Not belonging to BC, EBC, SC and ST Category as approved by Govt. of Bihar
• If not the bonafide student of the applied institution.
• Not registered Institution and not studying in Government Competent Body approved institution as per norms of department.
• Incorrect Caste Certificate , Income Certificate and income not under specified limit of scheme
• Non Upload of caste, Income certificate
• Incorrect course and year of study.
• If Student not uploaded all documents like Student Photo,BonafideCertificate,CasteCertificate,ResidenceCertificate,Income Certificate,
• Student Previous Degree, Previous Exam Marks Sheet
• Invalid Bank Account details or not in the name of student.
